Hi! My name is Dejaah Parrish. I'm 13 years old and my birthday is August 3rd, 2003. I see myself as very creative. I like to decorate and re-arrange, and all sorts of things like that. I am very responsible, and trustworthy. I would preferably work alone, but working with other people is not a problem.
When I was younger, I used to do lots of community service at my church. I helped with canned food drives, and a few fundraisers. And when I become old enough, I would love to fulfill one of my bucket list goals; volunteering at a pet shelter. I elementary school, I was a girl scout for a little while. I raised money for our school by selling cookies.
Some of my career goals include; being able to work from home, and creating my own hours. I want to succeed in not having a behind the desk, 9-5 job. And possibly having my own business. I thought that I would my own building, but I realize that I would rather have an online business.
Regarding my leadership experience, I tend to be chosen as a group leader because my classmates (and teachers) see me as very responsible. And i'm able to take control... in a good way. In 6th grade I ran for student president. I did not win, but I was only a few votes form winning. I believe that shows that people trust me of being in charge.
I don't have many talents, but I guess I could say that I have a talent of being able to adapt to any environment, and be comfortable in said environment. All of my other "talents" aren't career related. But I don't really think that talents has a big impact with my career. Or many careers honestly.
As for extracurricular participation, I am currently not involved in any sports. But I plan on joining track once track season starts. In 6th grade I was on the service squad. And I also ran for student president. In 5th grade, I was in a gifted program.
I think what makes me unique to work with is my ability to get along with anyone. I also think that I am able to motivate people to be successful in anything they do. I'm not mean, but I can for sure get the job done. I think that I am able to understand people, and their style. So I think that could help with my career.
